In Memoriam Robert Lebeck (1929-2014)

The German photographer Robert Lebeck died at the age of 85 – we are truly sorry. All the more we are very happy to be showing his most iconic and historically important photograph “Leopoldville [Young Man Steals the Sword of King Baudouin I, During Procession with Newly Appointed President Kasavubu], Leopoldville, Republic of the Congo (now Democratic Republic of the Congo), June 30, 1960” in our upcoming exhibition “Punctum” (7/26-9/21/2014).
