Gregor Zivic

Gregor Zivić (born in 1965, lives in Vienna) presented eight works in the Main Hall, a series of staged photographs created since 1997.

The starting point was a family photo found from the year 1968 showing the artist together with his brother and his father in front of their new house. It is a reproduction and part of the series. On all the photos that Zivić produced with meticulous craftsmanship in his apartment, which has an area of 29 m2, he himself is present and also in each case one of his paintings. An imaginary narration develops in the sequence of photos through recurring motifs and movable objects. The narration also refers to the medium of photography, to the frozen moment, fixed by a photo.
