Win, Place or Show

The installation consisted of four laser-disc players, a computer and two projectors, which projected on two screens at a slight angle to each other, with a gap between. The Ö1 radio program was playing live.

This work was created especially for the Salzburg Kunstverein and synchronised in Austria (translation, synchronised version and direction: Detlev Eckstein and Dieter Witting, voices: Peter Wolfberger und Dieter Witting, sound engineer: Kurt Rehling, studio: Sound design, Vienna).

In the peripheral gallery, Stan Douglas showed documents and drawings from rebuilding a Neighbourhood (1950), commissioned by the city of Vancouver from Leonard Marsh.
