This film explores daily life in Japan through new and conventional rituals, including festivals, religious rites, and theatrical performances.

Yasmine Kabir, The Last Rites, 2008, 17 min
This film harrowingly depicts fishermen and workers in the graveyards of ocean-going vessels near Chittagong in Bangladesh.

Alia Syed, Panopticon Letter’s Missive I, 2012, 23 min
This film juxtaposes Jeremy Bentham’s “The Panopticon Letters” with altered footage of the Thames in London, exploring memory, histories of colonialism, and landscape painting.
