Art trip to Scottland 10 - 15 October 2015

Scotland! Home of some of the world’s greatest whiskies, and a hub for the contemporary arts. About half of the Turner Prize winners alone are from Glasgow. Last year, the Turner Prize winner was Duncan Campbell, a Glasgow-based Irish artist who was co-commissioned in 2011 by our director Seamus Kealy for the award-winning film Make It New John. He also featured in our exhibition Punctum. And this year, we will not only visit the Turner Prize exhibition (which features Nicole Wermers, a Salzburg-based artist who is housed in the Salzburger Kunstverein), we will visit a number of critical art spaces in three Scottish cities, and speak with some key figures of the art world. Perhaps you heard Francis McKee, Director of the CCA Glasgow, give a lecture with us here also on the occasion of Punctum. And if you like whisky, then there should be at least one occasion for that as well. Please note that there will be significant city walking for the exhibition visits. Booking is limited to 20 people, so please book well in advance!

Please email Nora Lakics to get more info. Please consider that a Salzburger Kunstverein membership is a precondition to attend the trip. Bookings can be made until 17 August 2015.
