Film as Muse

Film as Muse is a group exhibition curated by Séamus Kealy and Adam Budak, Director of the Kestner Gesellschaft, Hannover, along with other guest curators. This long-running research project results in not only an exhibition but also a new online platform for the website of the Salzburger Kunstverein. A number of international artists will be invited to present work that, for them, has a particular relationship to specific scenes by specific auteurs of cinema. Film as Muse, not unlike The People’s Cinema (2016), muses on creative and even obsessive relationships between cinema and contemporary visual art in all its manifestations.
