Dissolutions and Blurring

Annualy, art students are invited to apply for an exhibition in Café Cult. This year, the work of Stefan Glas was selected from all the applications. Stefan Glas was born in 1992 in Salzburg and has studied painting at Mozarteum University since 2013.

The work on display illustrates the interest of the artist to focus on an examination of color and structure. Accident plays a role in the working process. Without producing images, paint is applied onto the canvas and blended, so that structures and forms appear during the process, and are again blended and dissolved. Narratives are avoided, illustration consciously abandoned.
