Exhibition & Performance
Within the exhibition Sex in the City Superamas showed their video installation „When We Were Kings“ (2005) in the Exhibition Cabinet.
Together with 3 young pretty women, a SUPERAMAS party. Joking…Drinking… getting wasted. The evening roughly shifts into a strip-poker party. The whole scene is filmed by themselves. Clumsy, the videocamera captures bits of this non-event. Is everything staged or simply true ? Have we got any clues to find out ? While watching this pretty rough video, what is ultimately faced at besides our own desire ? The process of editing and disframing digs the surface of these images. It finally points out what we are really paying attention to, for whatever reasons (!).
Sex in the City is a production of the Szene Salzburg and the Superamas in Coproduction with the Salzburger Kunstverein.
