Dedalic Convention: du und ich (Salzburg Version)

With the project DEDALIC CONVENTION, the British artist Liam Gillick (*1964 in Aylesbury, lives in London) tried out a flexible method of exhibiting which allows coincidence in time, shifts in space and multiple authorship. DEDALIC CONVENTION is divided into two autonomous but complementary parts, in the Salzburg Kunstverein and the MAK in Vienna.

The first part (in the MAK) was geared to the history of ideas, developing the content by means of presentations, performances and improvisations. The results formed the input for the project in Salzburg, which initially provided a setting for a possible happening. This display represented a potential for a philosophically discursive space, the concrete form of which will then evolve.
