Tilo Schulz in discussion with Carsten Fock. Followed by a small lunch. Please RSVP at office@salzburger-kunstverein.at.
Everybody is welcome!
In 2016, Fock has been a year-long Artist in Residence at the Salzburger Kunstverein. While on-site, Carsten Fock made a mural that runs the length of the entire Ring Gallery in his manner of combining different materials and painterly gestures. Entitled Salzburg, produced in different stages as a full painting installation, the exhibition is now concluded with an artist talk with Tilo Schulz and a small lunch.
“Fock paints paintings and draws drawings, hanging these upon his own murals, themed poster-wall coverings or slanted walls. Most recently, he has managed to intensify the cross-references between murals and images to a point where individual movements and motivic templates within the painting are liberated from their drawings, leaping onto the wall.” (Tilo Schulz)
